Lt. Sacha Masson graduated Bellville High School in 1999 and attended EMT class at Colorado County EMS in the fall of 1999. Sacha became EMT certified and first employed by ACEMS in May of 2000. He then attended Paramedic class at Washington County EMS in 2001 and became a Texas Dept. of Health Paramedic in August of 2002.
Wanting to follow his dreams, Sacha attended Wharton County Junior College Fire Academy in 2002 and received Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Firefighter certification in December of 2002. In May of 2003, Sacha achieved his childhood dream of becoming a Houston Firefighter/Paramedic. Sacha graduated Valedictorian and Honor Man in HFD class 20-2003. Lt. Masson was awarded the 100 Club Firefighter of the Year award and also City of Houston Valor Award in 2008 for rescuing 5 people trapped in a burning apartment building. He retired early to return to work for ACEMS full time to be closer to his family and work in the community that he loves. Sacha Masson was promoted to rank of Lieutenant in June of 2021. |
