​Colin grew up just north of Indianapolis and earned a BA in History from Purdue University. He then decided to escape the cold of Indiana and move to beautiful Texas. While in Texas, he made a career change and attended Austin Community College, where he earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Emergency Medical Services Professions in 2015.

Colin began his career in EMS at Washington County EMS. During his time there, he played a key role in patient care, employee training, and swift water rescue, including deployments with Texas Task Force 1. In 2018, Colin joined Austin County EMS, where he has progressed through various roles—from In-Charge to Field Training Officer—and is currently the Captain of A-Shift.
